Class Schedule (Effective through 7/31/2008)
We offer classes for several levels, and within each class, students are encouraged to work at their own rate, concentrating on their form, alignment, and breath. Classes are based on a Vinyasa yoga style, but incorporate many elements of Iyengar and Ashtanga yoga traditions.

Description of Levels
We use a “level” system to describe the degree of difficulty or intensity students can expect in our classes. These levels apply to all types of classes.
If you are unsure about your level, feel free to ask us for advice. Send us an email, introduce yourself, and tell us a little about your yoga experience, if any, and general fitness background. [Click here to email us]
Level I: Geared to beginners, but students with previous yoga experience are welcome. We will work at slower pace and focus on the fundamentals: building strength in standing poses, achieving proper alignment, and learning basic breathing techniques.
Level II: These classes build on the skills practiced in Level I classes and focus on movement with breath and increasing endurance and flexibility. Modifications will be given to accommodate students with varying experience and strength.
Level III: This more advanced class assumes an understanding of and the strength to perform fundamental standing and seated poses in varying sequences. We will regularly practice more advanced poses like balances and headstands. Not recommended for beginning students.
Multi-level: A mix of gentle through moderately advanced poses will be taught in this class. The instructor will give modifications to accommodate students practicing at different levels.
Prenatal: Prenatal classes are appropriate for women at all stages of pregnancy. They offer a supportive environment for pregnant women. Have a healthier body during pregnancy and learn techniques to ease labor and delivery. Prenatal students are welcome to drop into Level I classes. Please notify the instructor of your pregnancy.
Yoga for Healthy Backs: Carefully chosen active and restorative poses will help prevent and relieve back pain caused by musculoskeletal imbalances, tension, weakness, poor posture or stress among other factors. Prior back injuries or pain are not required of students attending - it's never too soon to start taking better care of your back! Classes are taught by an instructor who is a Certified Yoga Therapist. We recommend students with current injuries get physician approval prior to attending.
